Image Compressor & WebP Converter (No Upload)

Compress images and convert them to WebP without uploading anything - re-encoding also strips GPS and other EXIF data automatically.

Good to know

  • Compression is lossy for WebP and JPEG output; keep the originals.
  • PNG output is lossless, so it can be larger than the source.
  • Bulk download saves files one by one; ZIP export is not supported yet.
  • Animated images are compressed as a single still frame.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs on this page with your browser's canvas API. The images never leave your device.
Is EXIF data such as GPS location removed?
Yes. Re-encoding through the canvas produces a clean file without EXIF metadata, which is safer for sharing photos.
Why is my PNG output larger than the original?
PNG is lossless, so re-encoding cannot always shrink an already-optimized file. Choose WebP or JPEG for strong compression.
